Bindi Irwin Honored Her Late Dad Steve Days Before Her Pregnancy Instagram Announcement

The Australia Zoo conservationists shared the exciting news on Instagram nearly five months after officially tying the knot. In their pregnancy announcement, Bindi and Chandler wore their signature tan attire and held up a matching child-sized shirt.

“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” the mom-to-be wrote on Instagram. “Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.”

According to Bindi, she’s still in her first trimester, but wanted fans “to be a part of the journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.” The 22-year-old said she was ecstatic to let the world in on the most important part of their lives and asked her followers to leave their “best advice.”

Fans of Bindi and Chandler were over the moon about the news. Many took to the comments section to show an outpour of love and support for the couple.

The sweet announcement came days after Bindi paid a special tribute to her late dad, Steve Irwin. The TV personality died in 2006 after an accident with an eight-foot-wide stingray. In the past, she’s honored him in many ways, like at her wedding when she and Chandler lit a candle in his memory. In her latest tribute, Bindi made sure to include Steve in her wedding pictures with a touching family portrait.
