The publishing world has been speculating about what the redesigned T magazine would look like-and its first cover, featuring 79-year-old Lee Radziwill, was well worth the wait. Everyone is buzzing about Radziwill's years, but the best part of the Kennedy-connected socialite's image isn't just her age-it's that she actually looks it. Posing assertively in an elegant black dress, she appears confident, beautiful, and every bit the way I would sell my soul to look when I approach 80. There's nothing shy or apologetic about this picture.

It reminded me that last year, Allure asked three gorgeous women at different ages how they feel about growing older. Here's a bit more inspiration-and words of wisdom on aging right.

Cindy Crawford, 48, said, "I don't feel young anymore. There are great things that come with being older: You feel more comfortable in your own skin.... I'm more accepting."

Christie Brinkley, 59, talked about turning 50. "I was like, Cut me some slack. From here on out, if I feel like eating it, I'm eating it. Of course, now that I'm 50-hmhm [intentionally muffled number], I realize that I just feel better if I eat right. I do it for me, and not to fit into a sample size."
