Ghoulish Halloween treats you can make in a snap

There's no better time than Halloween to get your wee ones involved in helping out in the kitchen! Ghoulish colours and freaky designs are sure to attract their curious eyes, and you don't have to worry about perfection, because when it comes to Halloween treats, the scarier the better.

Whether you're hosting a spook-tacular party for the kids or simply whipping up a few simple seasonal goodies to enjoy at home, we've got you covered with our collection of the easiest, creepiest and downright delicious Halloween recipes ever! The best part? They're all three steps or less.

Rotting Apple Teeth

These creepy two-step snacks are made using apples, caramel sauce and peanuts -- easy, peasy!

1. Core and quarter apples and soak in a large bowl of lemon water (this prevents the apples from browning). Cut a 90-degree section out of the skin-side of each quarter to form a 'mouth.'

2. Dip peanuts into caramel sauce. Insert peanuts into apple 'mouths,' dividing evenly among apple quarters.

Strawberry Ghosts

You can't get any easier -- and yummier! -- than chocolate-dipped strawberries. Here, white chocolate gives the red berries a ghoulish touch.

1. Melt white chocolate according to package directions.

2. Dip strawberries in chocolate, letting excess drip off. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Insert mini chocolate chips in berries for eyes and a mouth, then let set until firm.

2. Mix condensed milk and gelatin to form white Jello, then cut into oval shapes for "eyeballs."

3. Layer "slime" and "eyeballs" among serving glasses, dividing evenly.
