Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Robbie Ray won the AL Cy Young Award on Wednesday, but it was his son, Asher, who stole the show.

After being announced the winner of the most prestigious pitching honour in all of baseball, Ray was interviewed via video by MLB Network. Sitting with his family during his chat with host Greg Amsinger, the 30-year-old's son, Asher, completely took hold of the spotlight.

While Robbie was giving his thanks, Asher was just being a kid, which was absolutely great to see, even if it did make it hard to focus on his dad's speech.

With the win, Ray became the fourth different Blue Jays pitcher to win the Cy Young, joining Pat Hentgen, Roger Clemens, and Roy Halladay. Clemens won the award twice with Toronto, meaning the prize has been given to a Blue Jays pitcher on five separate occasions.

Ray received 29 of the 30 first-place votes that were cast for the award, beating out New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole and Chicago White Sox hurler Lance Lynn for the distinction.
