The recent release of new speakers from Amazon Echo and Google Nest means increased competition, which will translate to deeper savings for consumers. For Boxing Day, the Amazon Echo Show 5 is 35 per cent off, while a variety of smart home accessories like this Arlo Pro 2 Wire-Free Indoor/Outdoor Security System with 2 1080p HD Cameras can save you $100.

The increased selection of smart home accessories that are compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and IFTTT, puts the power back in consumers’ hands, so now is the perfect time to stock up on everything you need for your home.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are ideal times to hunt for a new TV, and with the biggest deals relatively picked through, Boxing Day sales will be limited.

They do exist, but you’ll have to look for them. LG and Samsung are among the big-label TV brands offering deals if you’re looking to upgrade your living room from $500 off the Sony 65" 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV, or if you want to upgrade to OLED, this Sony 65" 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV will save you $1,500 if you purchase online from Best Buy through Jan. 2.

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas takes place in the new year, so as new models get announced in January, you can expect to see 2019 models get liquidated in February.

Select kitchen appliances on Boxing Day blowout

Find some popular kitchen appliance brands on sale this Boxing Day. As companies are looking to rid the rest of their holiday inventory to make room for new models, this is a good time of year to purchase current- or old-model stand mixers, blenders, smart vacuums, and appliances.

Popular kitchen and home appliances like KitchenAid (save $300), Vitamix Pro 750 Heritage (save $250), and Dyson V11 Absolute Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum (save $170) are all previewed to go on sale in Best Buy’s Boxing Day flyer.
