Brad Pitt Dedicated His Oscars Win to His Children
Brad Pitt took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Oscar for his role as Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood at the 92nd annual ceremony on Sunday.
Pitt acknowledged his time in Hollywood during the sincere acceptance speech and later dedicated his win to his six children with actress Angelina Jolie.
To the surprise of no one, Brad Pitt took home the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 92nd annual Academy Awards. Rather than opting for his signature awards season style of sprinkling his speech with a slew of dad jokes, the actor took a more sentimental approach.
Pitt reminisced on his three decades in Hollywood during the speech, acknowledging his family, his first roles, and all of the relationships he's retained during his time as an actor. Pitt previously won an Oscar for the film 12 Years a Slave, which he co-produced, but his win tonight marks his first win from the Academy for an acting performance.

"I’m a big gobsmack. I’m not one to look back but this has made me do so and I’m thinking of my folks taking me to the drive in to see 'Butch and Sundance' and loading up my car and moving out here and Geena and Ridley giving me my first shot to all the wonderful people I’ve met along the way," said Pitt during his acceptance speech. "To say I’m here now ... Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ... ain't that the truth."
Pitt closed with a heartfelt nod to his children. "This is for my kids who color everything I do. I adore you," he said.
The actor and ex-wife Angelina Jolie have six kids together: Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and Vivienne and Knox, both 11.
