Brad Pitt had his big, affectionate reunion with his ex-wife turned friend Jennifer Aniston at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last weekend, and the photos just about broke the internet. But good ol' Brad Pitt doesn't know a thing about that.
Entertainment Tonight asked the actor what he thought about the internet's frenzy over his and Aniston's big moment. "I don't know. I'm blissfully naïve and I'm gonna stay that way," Pitt said at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival yesterday. He added that he hadn't read the headlines. Sure, Brad.
A source told Entertainment Tonight this week that Aniston and Pitt had a good laugh about people's reactions to their rekindled friendship in reality. "Brad and Jen started talking after their relationships [with Angelina Jolie and Justin Theroux] ended," the source said. "They have seen each other but only occasionally and casually. Jen frequently gets photographed, so she was conscious of avoiding Brad because, while she has always adored him, she never wanted to start any rumors. She didn't realize how huge of a reaction the public would have to them. They both have laughed a bit about it."
A second source told ET that Pitt has apologized to Aniston about some of the past issues in their relationship. "He has apologized to her for many things he felt were his issues in their relationship," that source said. "He truly takes ownership for his mistakes and that has changed their relationship with each other today. They both have moved on."
