Britney Spears's comfortable Birkenstock sandals were just named the hottest shoes of summer

Britney Spears recently hit the beach, and brought some bold fashion choices with her.
Along with her boyfriend Sam Asghari, the 38-year-old pop star stayed safe while vacationing in Turks and Caicos last month, and enjoyed the sand and surf.
Spears shared a collection of photos chronicling a beach day on Instagram, including a sweet snap of the duo holding hands by the water.
“All you need is love and the beach,” she captioned the post.
The “Womanizer” songstress dressed for the occasion in a colourblocked pink and leopard print bikini, and a vibrant pair of turquoise Birkenstocks.
Retailing for $135, the “Arizona” style sandals are a comfortable option to keep feet feeling happy. Shoppers have been loving the style so much, that they were even named the hottest women’s fashion item of the season according to the latest Lyst Index report.

According to the report by Lyst, searches for the sandals spiked 225 per cent between the months of April and June, as shoppers were looking for comfortable footwear to wear during lockdown.
Designed with a soft suede upper that conforms to your feet, an adjustable double buckle design, and a molded footbed that provides support with every step, it’s no wonder that the sandals are a hit with shoppers. Currently, they have a 4.7 star rating on the Nordstrom website, and hundreds of positive reviews.
“Soft slide suede Birkenstocks never disappoint! I own multiple pairs in different colours,” reads one review. “They are so comfortable and soft and perfect for any summer occasion.”
“The Arizona is a great comfy staple,” reads another. “I love the light, brushed suede so much. Easy to slip on and go. Fits true to size, I have narrow feet so had to adjust the straps to the tightest notch, but they feel great!”
While the sandals do come in a range of fun colours and patterns, they’ve been selling quickly as demand for the comfy meets chic style grows. Luckily, we’ve found a few retailer where you can still shop the on-trend sandals.
