The designer and former Spice Girl stared straight into the camera as she posed in what looked to be nothing but black pants and a strategically placed towel to cover her chest from view.

Brooklyn posted the photo to his Instagram account to congratulate his 44-year-old mother on her brand’s London Fashion Week debut, writing, “Well done mum on another amazing fashion show.” In the past Victoria has shown her line during New York Fashion Week.

Brooklyn’s followers were split on their opinions of the photo, with many a little weirded out by what they perceived as the sexual nature of the photo.

“Topless your mom? Yuck,” wrote one commenter.

Another wrote, “Great photo and loving the support. But is it just me that’s a little weirded out about him posting what is basically a topless photo of his mother?”

Others praised Brooklyn’s talent as a photographer, and his support of his mom.

Very iconic shot Brooklyn ur talent is shining through,” wrote one.

Another commented, “Beautiful shot! Your mom is such an inspiration.”

One person pointed out that Victoria might be wearing a light colored top: “Why is everyone freaking out, there’s a clear seam there, she has a skin tone top on.”

Topless photos are — maybe — kind of a thing with these two. In July Victoria shared a photo of her son as he drove his mother, his many tattoos on full display, much to the dismay of many commenters who mom-shamed Victoria about his body art.

His mom’s show was a big success, and, of course, Brooklyn was there with his father, David, 43, and siblings Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7, on Sunday from to watch the unveiling of the new collection and cheer Victoria on.
