Bryce Harper flashes epic hair flip after spectacular diving catch

The All-Star Game may not count for home field advantage in the World Series anymore, but that doesn’t mean that players are giving any less than 100 percent. And Bryce Harper wasted no time proving that to everyone watching.

Harper, who usually plays for the Washington Nationals, started in right field for the National League team in the All-Star Game. In the top of the second inning, Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez hit a sinking liner to right center field, and Harper made a run for it. At a dead sprint with the ball within reach, Harper laid out and made a fantastic diving catch to end the inning.

Not only was it a gorgeous catch, it also featured a heart-stopping hair flip as he got up from the ground. He whipped his nearly shoulder-length mane back from his face with authority, and if you’re wondering what it would look like in slow motion, take a look.

Somehow even better, right? But what about putting it to music? The beat from Ginuwine’s “Pony,” perhaps?

Harper’s grab was entertaining, but didn’t help his team win. The American League topped the National League 2-1 in 10 innings Tuesday night.

Thank you, internet. And thanks to Bryce Harper for that glorious hair flip (and the catch, too). He should really consider a second career in hair modeling.
