Buckingham Palace Finally Responded to Prince Harry Engagement Rumors!
After watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get steadily more serious this year, fans everywhere (ourselves included) are low-key convinced that an engagement announcement could come at any minute. After all, the two are going to be living together, so it's not much of a stretch to assume a proposal is impending.
Amid all the speculation and media coverage, Buckingham Palace finally made a statement yesterday, addressing the rumors Prince Harry put a ring on it. While what they had to say is not satisfying in the least, we did get a good chuckle from it.
According to Hello!, Buckingham Palace officials say they will "not give a running commentary on Harry's love life." But, but, but...that's exactly what we need!
At this point, we really don't know what to believe. Some sources say the couple is already engaged. Others report the proposal is coming over the holidays or even at the beginning of 2018. To add to the confusion, it recently surfaced that bookies in the U.K. have stopped taking bets on when the announcement is coming, according to Hello!—do they know something we don't?
All that to say Prince Harry Engagement Watch 2017 is still in full effect. We're just going to have to wait and see!
