The Butt-Lifting Jeans Celebrities Have Worn for Years Are One of the Most Discounted Deals at Nordstrom's Sale

It was San Francisco circa 2013. I was making my way from the Back Room of Loehmann's through the denim department, stuffing my arms with colorful skinny jeans and artfully distressed high-rise denim, about to try everything on rapidfire in the communal dressing room. Hudson Jeans, already the hottest denim brand for the better part of a decade, were my end game: I wasn't leaving the store without at least one perfect pair.
Favorites of Olivia Wilde, Jessica Biel, Hilary Duff, Katie Holmes, and Reese Witherspoon, Hudson Jeans became synonymous with the 2010s. Reality stars, supermodels, and A-list entertainers were spotted on both coasts wearing their knee-slashed and camo-print Hudsons with leather jackets, scarves, and ankle boots.
It was boom time for Hudson, and it was easy to see why. The jeans' 98 percent cotton, 2 percent elastane blend was famous for hugging and shaping thighs while lifting butts to never-before-seen heights. From skinny to flared to boyfriend styles, various silhouettes catered to many different tastes, which meant style-setters of all inclinations were reaching for the brand: Sofia Vergara in her bell bottoms, Beyoncé in her loose-cut, Taylor Swift in her mile-high jeggings.

I hope this isn't a spoiler to anyone, but shortly after, Loehmann's closed its doors for good. As did a handful of beloved department stores amid the evolving retail landscape (we miss you Barneys). Still, Hudson's staying power was strong enough to resist the changing winds. Celebrities weren't going to allow their denim darling to go down with the ship.
Since the mid-2010s, Hudson's superstar fanbase hasn't just held on, it's acquired a whole roster of influential members: Amber Heard, Lily James, Kaia Gerber, and Gigi Hadid are newly minted Hudson wearers. As are Emma Roberts, Addison Rae, and Lucy Hale, who all wore the brand during quarantine last summer.
We've got a big old soft spot in our hearts for the brand, but now's a better time than ever to join the Hudson family. Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale has only a few days left, and Hudson Jeans are among the most discounted items across the site; some styles are going for up to 50 percent off. Skinny, boyfriend, bootcut, cropped, camo, and cut-off jeans are marked down to as low as $80 until Sunday, August 8.
