Camila Cabello doesn't turn down a dare, even if it involves stealing something from the royal family!
The former Fifth Harmony member joined Prince William and Kate Middleton at Kensington Palace last month to honor the 2019 Radio 1 Teen Heroes honorees, which the Palace described as "the biggest teen event in the pop music calendar and shines a light on some of the UK’s most inspirational teens."
During a new interview with BBC Radio 1's Greg James, who was also at the event, Cabello started off the conversation by saying, "Don't tell anyone what my mother and I did."
"Okay, I haven't mentioned this story, because you told me not to," James replied. "We're in Kensington Palace for the Teen Heroes, we met, we're about to meet William and Kate and I said, 'Ya gotta steal something.' And I said, 'Steal that pencil.'"
"And I was like, 'You triple doggy dare me?'" Cabello added on.
After James confirmed that he did, indeed, "triple doggy dare" Cabello to take a pencil from Kensington Palace, the "Havana" hitmaker declared that "you can't not do a triple doggy dare," so she took the writing instrument before James told on her.
"Then, you, to one of the Palace people, called me out it, and you were like, 'She stole a pencil!' And I was like, 'Oh, my god!' And I put it in my mom's purse and my mom was like, 'No, we have to give it back. We have to give back the pencil,'" she said animatedly. "And I was like, 'No, he triple doggy dared me. I have to take the pencil.'"
The singer finished her story by apologizing to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, while also admitting that she still has the keepsake during her visit to their home.
"So, I still have it. I'm sorry, William, and I am sorry, Kate," Cabello finished.

After BBC Radio 1 tweeted out a clip from the interview, Kensington Royal's official Twitter account replied with the side-eye emoji, playfully indicating that they had seen the exchange.
