Camilla Has a Collection of Royal Jubilee Mugs

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is slowly and steadily taking the lead as the most relatable royal. At an engagement today at Emmaus UK in Manchester, celebrating a pre-Jubilee Big Lunch, the Duchess looked around the shop at the center.

According to royal reporter Rebecca English, Camilla purchased a £1.50 commemorative Silver Jubilee Mug.

Camilla said, "I see you’ve got a nice jubilee mug. I am going to buy that. I have a whole collection, believe it or not." We have many more questions: Does Camilla specifically collect Silver Jubilee mugs? All Jubilee mugs? All Jubilee items? How many mugs does Clarence House have?

To mark various royal Jubilees, the Royal Collection releases a collection of commemorative items. The Platinum Jubilee collection design is "inspired by the purple Robe of Estate worn by The Queen at her Coronation. The border decoration is based on the gold embroidery on the robe, which incorporates olive branches and wheat ears, symbolising peace and prosperity," according to the Royal Collection shop.

Camilla has been delighted by commemorative mugs before. Last year, she attended an engagement for The Prince's Trust in support of their "Brilliant Breakfast" campaign and received a custom branded mug:

In a 2012 visit to the Island of Sark, she and Prince Charles were presented with a commemorative mug to mark their visit. Look at their excitement:

In summary: Camilla loves a commemorative mug, especially if said mug is in celebration of the British royal family.
