"Queen of Christmas" Candace Cameron Bure Has a Lot of Feelings About Classic Holiday Traditions

From Good Housekeeping

It’s a fact: Candace Cameron Bure is the "Queen of Christmas," and as such, she was up to the challenge of answering highly debatable questions about the beloved holiday. From her preference of Christmas trees (live or artificial), to her honest thoughts about fruitcake, the Hallmark actress isn't holding back about everything Christmas-related.

When asked to choose between a real or fake tree, the mother of three instantly knew her answer. “I made the switch to the fake tree last year and I’m really glad I did,” she tells GoodHousekeeping.com.

With a variety of artificial Christmas trees to select from nowadays, it make sense that the Fuller House star joined the trend. She also admits that she starts decorating around Thanksgiving Day or earlier (now that's real commitment).

But before Candace puts up her fake Christmas tree, adorning it with white lights each year, she actually starts listening to Christmas music two months before the big day. And although it sounds like she has her Christmas rituals down to a science, there are a few traditions that don’t sit right with her. “I just don’t get fruitcake … I like my fruit fresh," she says.
