Cardi B has decided to try her hand in the beauty business.

According to TMZ, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's existing company, Washpoppin Inc. filed legal documents on Wednesday securing the rights to the name "Bardi Beauty."

The trademark documents revealed that the 28-year-old intends to launch her own beauty brand and has plans to offer products ranging from makeup, fragrances, haircare, skincare all the way to nail polish.

The new business venture comes on the heels of several celebrities who have found success in the same realm, including Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga, Jessica Alba and Selena Gomez.

While we can assume the star's products will be top-shelf, the unveiling of her latest business plans has divided fans.

One person pointed out that so many other celebrities have similar side-businesses already, there's hardly a demand for it.

"We don’t need any more beauty brands from celebrities," they wrote.

"No hate to her, but I really don’t understand the need for every celebrity to start their own beauty brands," tweeted another.

"Why is everyone starting a makeup brand? WTF" someone else chimed in.

"I love Cardi, but why do all the girls gotta come out with beauty brands?" another asked.

Despite the criticism, the news was also met with fans praising the star for expanding her empire.

"Cardi B and the B stands for business," one fan tweeted.

"And we will be purchasing," tweeted another.

"I love how versatile she is," someone else wrote.

This may be Cardi's first time contending in the already highly saturated beauty game, but she has had significant success through her collaborations with Fashion Nova, Reebok, and Steve Madden — and has expressed interest in branching out in the past.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2019, the rapper mentioned that having her own line of makeup was “something I wanna do," noting that it would likely come to fruition "very" soon.
