Just one month after Tamron Hall and Kelly Clarkson launched brand new talk shows back in 2019, Drew Barrymore also shared that she was launching her own daytime program.

“It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show,” The Wedding Singer actress, who will be the show's executive producer and headliner, said in a CNN statement. “I’m truly thrilled and honored to be creating this show with CBS.”

Drew has been in show business for about 40 years, starring in classic movies like Charlie's Angels, 50 First Dates, and Ever After: A Cinderella Story. All in all, there's no denying that her comedy background and experience in front of the camera makes her absolutely perfect for the talk show host life.

If you're as excited about Drew's new talk show as we are, get all the details about it below:

When will Drew Barrymore's show premiere?

Mark your calendars: September 14 is the official premiere date of The Drew Barrymore Show. To get fans excited about the new program, the show released a promo with present-day Drew interviewing her 7-year-old self. According to Deadline, the old footage is from Drew's 1982 appearance on The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson. Clearly, Drew was destined for talk show stardom.

What time and channel will it be on?

Fans will have to check their local listings for specific channel and timing info in their area. That said, we do know, thanks to Deadline, that CBS Television Distribution cleared The Drew Barrymore Show in 85% of the U.S. — which basically means that the show will be available in many markets across the country.

Wait, does this mean a different CBS show is getting canceled?

While folks seem thrilled for Drew, some online wonder about what this could mean for other popular CBS TV Distribution shows, like Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray, Judge Judy, and The Doctors. After all, NBC had to cancel Steve Harvey's talk show to make way for Kelly's new program in 2019.

CBS has yet to respond to GoodHousekeeping.com's inquiry about how Drew's show will affect other CBS programming. Our best guess is that more announcements will be made closer to the launch date. We will update this article as more info is released.
