Celebs Are Posting Underwear Selfies All Month Long for a Good Cause

Last October, celebrity stylists Jamie Mizrahi and Simone Harouche launched Kit Undergarments based on their combined 20 years of experience dressing women with different body types. In addition to creating 'foundational undergarments' that make women look and feel good (whether they're heading to an award show or not), core to the brand was giving back through its breast cancer awareness initiative, #kitstokickcancer.

Now, the co-founders are bringing the selfie campaign back for the second year and they're using their impressive roster of A-list friends and clients — which includes Katy Perry, Kate Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Dakota Fanning, Meena Harris, to name a few — to spread the word.

Throughout the month of October, the brand will be sharing undwear selfies from both their celeb friends and clients, as well as family members and survivors (including Harouche's mom and grandmother) — and are encouraging their Instagram followers to do the same. (The brand will donate 5% of all sales in October to the Women's Cancer Research Fund and an additional $1 for every woman who posts a photo in their undergarments and tags @kitundergarments on Instagram.)

“This post marks 365 days since we launched our baby @kitundergarments. To say it’s been a WILD year is an understatement.... and I’m not talking about just launching and running our business, of course. While there are a lot of causes close to my heart, especially right now, (hmph please vote) one that October always reminds us of is breast cancer awareness month. Like last year, we will be partnering with the Women’s Cancer Research Fund in donating a percentage of sales for the entire month of October. We had made it our mission to make undergarments people feel good in —— from day one we’ve always said it’s about embracing your body and loving yourself and that’s still rings true. The women we have included in this month’s campaign all embody the ethos of our brand and we couldn’t be more grateful or proud to have them as a part of the family. I’ll kick it off as I have endless gratitude and love for my body and all of the things it does for me. And if I can recommend one thing, ladies...GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS!🙏🍊🍊” Jamie wears the Lightweight Triangle Soft Bra in Rose (size 2) and the High-Waist Boy Brief in Rose (size 2). We will be donating 5% of all sales to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund @wcrfcure during the month of October. In addition, we will donate $1 to @wcrfcure for every woman who posts a photo in their undergarments and tags us.
