The Chanel Bag That’s About To Be Everywhere

Categories Fashion Trends

More than 100 years after she founded her namesake house, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel remains its ultimate muse. Creative director Karl Lagerfeld has incorporated nods to her signature style in every collection since he took the helm in the ’80s, and now the designer is taking his esteem a step further with the release of a handbag named after the fashion icon. First spotted on Chanel’s Spring 2017 runway, it’s bound to reach arm-candy status immediately upon release this season alongside a fragrance of the same name—both perfect counterparts to the brand’s new lip line. The Gabrielle campaign includes four short films that tell the story of the fearless rebel who gave rise to one of the fashion industry’s most celebrated labels. Watch the first installment here.
