Charity Lawson’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ begins filming — and there’s a big twist

This sweet Georgia peach is on her very own journey to finding love, but this time she takes the lead.

Charity Lawson, a born and raised Georgia girl, is originally from Columbus and is America’s new “Bachelorette.”

Though she had a heartbreaking elimination on ‘The Bachelor’ with Zach Shallcross, she told Entertainment Tonight that she is ready for love again on Season 20 of the ABC hit reality dating show.

“I have an open mind, open heart,” Charity said. “I’m ready to fall back into love.”

On a special preview for her season of “The Bachelorette,’” which has already started filming, Charity is seen waiting for the limos to arrive.

However, host Jesse Palmer tells her there is a special twist.

“The man you’re about to meet is someone you already know. You both have a history together,” he told her.

“I’m shaking,” Charity told the cameras. “I’m going to throw up.”

The man who stepped out of the limo? None other than her brother, Nehemiah. Fans met him during Charity’s hometown date in Columbus with Shallcross.

“I’m on the lookout because men can be dogs. I have a plan. It involves a disguise and it’s going to help me really find out more about these guys, to see if they’re really here for her, for the right reasons, or if it’s time to get them out,” Nehemiah told the cameras. “I’m about to become undercover brother.”

Looks like the journey to love is a family affair.

Tune in on June 26 on ABC to see the premiere of Charity’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
