Prince Charles has been praised by royal fans after he was spotted blowing a kiss to the Duchess of Cambridge at the Service of Thanksgiving in London earlier today.

The Queen's eldest son arrived at St Paul's Cathedral on the second day of Platinum Jubilee celebrations with his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Viewers then saw the couple greet Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge inside the church, before the group took their seats among the other members of the Royal Family.

On seeing his daughter-in-law, the heir-to-the-throne then made the affectionate fatherly gesture in a sweet moment captured on camera that has delighted viewers.

Responding to a video of their interaction shared by royal correspondent Camilla Tominey on Twitter, one person wrote: "Loved this!"

Another commented: "Aw this is really sweet!! They have such a great relationship."

A third shared: "Aw that is so cute, Prince Charles is so soft hearted.

Many pointed out that the Duchess of Cornwall likewise seemed to be blowing a kiss to her step-son, the Duke of Cambridge, too.

There was also discussion about why the couples didn't hug, with some suggesting it may be Covid-19 precautions and others speculating that it could be due to both women's wide hats.

The four then walked down together in the procession before the service began to mark Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne.

In her absence, the rest of the royal family dressed to impress, with the Duchess of Cambridge wowing in a lemon yellow ensemble.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle – making her first official appearance at a royal event in over two years – looked chic in head-to-toe white Dior.

A number of guests also appeared to pay tribute to the monarch by opting for an array of pink outfits.
