Prince Charles and Camilla shared a new portrait to celebrate their fourteenth wedding anniversary this week, and it seems they’ve taken pointers from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The intimate black and white snap shows the pair fondly gazing into one another’s eyes and looks very much like the photos released for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement.

In fact, it was taken by the same fashion photographer, Alexi Lubomirski, who was behind all of the Sussex’s engagement and wedding portraits.

Camilla and Meghan are said to have hit it off early in the former actress’ relationship with Harry, as they were both divorcees when entering the royal family.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s bond with Charles was made very public when she asked him to step in for her own father, and walk her down the aisle last May.

Charles and Camilla marked their anniversary with an engagement in Northern Ireland, and the Prince made a point to thank all the well-wishers who joined them on the day.

“I’m enormously grateful to you all for coming such a long way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s incredibly good of you,” he told guests at the reopening of Hillsborough Castle.

Although the Prince of Wales and his longtime love have steadily gained popularity since their nuptials in 2005, this wasn’t always the case.

In fact it took nearly a decade of careful PR spin from the couple’s first public appearance together in the late 1990s to solidify Camilla’s official entry into The Firm.
