Charlie Sheen Sued By Ex-Girlfriend Over HIV Status

Charlie Sheen was sued by his ex-girlfriend on Thursday for exposing her to HIV by having unprotected sex without telling her he was HIV positive. This was not the first time Sheen has been sued over his HIV positive status.

Sheen, who consistently maintained to be the highest paid person on television during his "Two and A Half Men" days, earned as much as $40 million every year when syndication points were included, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The website also says Sheen's monthly medical expenses currently cost $25,000. The actor earlier claimed he spent $10 million settling with people who had threatened to make his HIV status public.

The latest lawsuit, which was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, does not name Sheen officially but mentions a nationally televised interview the "defendent" gave on Nov. 17, 2015 to announce he was HIV-positive — the same day Sheen made his announcement in an interview on the Today show.

According to the new lawsuit, the plaintiff — identified just as Jane Doe — met Sheen in September 2015, and they quickly began a sexual relationship. The California woman says she asked the defendant if he had any sexually transmitted diseases, to which he just said he was "fine," reports said.

The woman said, in the lawsuit, after she had unprotected sex for the first time with Sheen on Oct. 26, 2015 the former "Two and a Half Men" star, who has an estimated net worth of $20 million, revealed he was HIV positive and gave her two pills to prevent transmission.

The woman is seeking unspecified damages from Sheen for battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress and fraud.

The lawsuit also says the woman was alarmed and upset following the revelation and sought emergency medical treatment the next day. She was told she would have to take antiretroviral medication for several weeks, according to People magazine.

The woman and Sheen argued about the exposure, and the 51-year-old star told her he was “noble” for even telling her about his HIV status at all. He also said he did not reveal it earlier as it was “none of [her] f------ business.” He also told her the drugs she had been prescribed were unnecessary, and urged her not to believe “the convenient rumors of the medical community.”

In addition, he made some bizarre statements, according to the lawsuit, including ones about an “Apocalypse” which had “cleansed” her soul and that he could “see the future,” which showed she was going to be fine.

“This is more about … not if, but when you do come down with this [HIV], that we’re together and at least we have each other,” the lawsuit quotes him as saying, according to TMZ.

The suit also alleges he made repeated use of the n-word, describing himself as “the dumbest f------ n------ in the room.” He also referred to other women he had slept with and who were threatening him with legal action over HIV exposure as “f------ n------” who had committed “treason,” which was “punishable by death.”

Sheen's ex-fiancee Brett Rossi filed a similar suit in December 2015, alleging physical and emotional abuse in addition to HIV exposure. Rossi sued the actor for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Rossi’s lawsuit was reportedly filed a day after Sheen was supposed to pay her $1 million to settle the claims against him.

"If Sheen had disclosed to Plaintiff that he was HIV positive when they met for the very first time, Plaintiff never would have engaged in sex with him, and the resulting relationship between the two would never have occurred," according to Rossi’s lawsuit. Rossi also reportedly said in her lawsuit that Sheen physically abused her throughout their relationship that lasted for nearly a year.
