Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam’s wedding plans haven’t changed despite rumoured split

There seemed to be trouble in paradise for new parents Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam, who were rumoured to have called off their wedding at the beginning of January. But the Monaco royal and her beau set the record straight in a joint statement, and it appears that their nuptials are definitely still on.

According to sources close to HOLA! Spain , the pair has been assuring their closest friends and family that their big day is still on. This week, Princess Grace’s granddaughter was spotted in her home country wearing her engagement ring given to her by her filmmaker fiancé a year ago in Paris. How romantic!

As it stands, their relationship is alive and well, and fans of the couple have every reason to believe they’ll be saying “I do” later this year! It’s likely that the duo will have a civil ceremony followed by a religious ceremony in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence – the same French community where Princess Caroline and her family went after their father, Stefano Casiraghi, passed away.

It has been an exciting time for the couple, who welcomed their first child, baby Balthazar, in October. The little boy joined the 32-year-old’s first son, five-year-old Raphaël Elmaleh, who she shares with her actor ex-boyfriend Gad Elmaleh. Though she and Gad never married, Dimitri was formerly married to Russian model Masha Novoselova, with whom he shares a daughter, Darya.

March 2018 marked Dimitri and Charlotte’s red-carpet debut in Paris at the city’s César Awards. The brunette beauty was there to support her 36-year-old husband-to-be at the star-studded gala, where talents like Penélope Cruz were honoured. Though Princess Caroline’s daughter typically attends the event alone, she and Dimitri stopped for some sweet joint photos.
