Chrissy Teigen Updates Fans After Her Pregnancy Loss

Chrissy Teigen Shared Devastating News About Her Pregnancy

"Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real."

Chrissy Teigen has broken her silence after announcing she suffered a miscarriage. Following a two-week hiatus from social media, Teigen returned to Instagram with an update about how she and her family are coping during this difficult period.

"We are quiet but we are okay. Love you all so much," she wrote alongside a series of tweets from husband John Legend, in which he addressed the couple's heartbreaking loss in a sweet note and dedicated his song "Never Break" to Chrissy days earlier. "This is for Chrissy," the singer previously tweeted, sharing a video of his moving performance at the Billboard Music Awards. “I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together. Watching you carry our children has been so moving and humbling.”

He went on to highlight his wife's strength and explained the meaning behind the lyrics of his new ballad. "I wrote this song because I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other’s hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test,” Legend continued, adding: "We promised each other this on our wedding day seven years ago, and every challenge we’ve faced has made that promise more powerful, more resilient. Our love will remain. We will never break.”

Last month, Chrissy announced the devastating news on social media after spending days in the hospital due to complications with the pregnancy. "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before," she shared with fans at the time. "We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough." In her post, Teigen revealed that she and John had already picked out a name for their baby boy, and included a personal note to him.

"To our Jack — I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."
