Cindy Crawford is proof that life is sweeter in your 50s.

On Sunday, the 56-year-old supermodel shared a makeup-free photo to Instagram, wearing silk PJs and under-eye masks, enjoying a slice of birthday cake.

Before celebrating her birthday on Feb. 20, Crawford shared a message to Instagram reflecting on what advice she might give her younger self.

"On the eve of another birthday, looking back at little Cindy and thinking about what I would tell her," she penned. "I would tell her to be kinder to herself, to treat herself the way she treats her friends. I would tell her everyone feels nervous in new situations and sometimes you just have to fake it ‘til you make it. I would tell her not to be afraid to make a fool of herself— dance, sing, etc more — even if she isn’t good at it."

Crawford told fans to "laugh as much as possible" and practice vulnerability and gratitude.

"Life is a blessing," she concluded.
