A Closer Look at Mike Myers and His Wife Kelly Tisdale's Super-Secretive Marriage
Mike Myers, who broke onto the scene when he joined Saturday Night Live in 1989, is back and has a new starring role (or should we say "roles" since he plays various characters) on Netflix's new miniseries The Pentaverate. Although the 58-year-old Canadian comedian and actor has had supporting roles in more recent movies like Terminal, Bohemian Rhapsody and Space Jam: A New Legacy, he's spent most of the past few years off screen with his 45-year-old wife, Kelly Tisdale, and their family.
The couple, who married in 2010, tend to keep a low profile, but the details they do share about their private life give us an inside look at their relationship. Mike — known for voicing the character Shrek and acting as Wayne Campbell from Wayne's World and Austin from the Austin Powers franchise — met Kelly, a scenic artist who works in the entertainment industry and a former cafe owner, back in 2006 about a year after his marriage to actress Robin Ruzan ended. The duo kept the relationship under wraps, until a photo of them on vacation went public, with Kelly then confirming it to the National Enquirer. "We're actually surprised you guys didn't find out about us sooner," she reportedly said in reply.
Mike and Kelly ended up getting married in secret in New York back in the fall of 2010 and have been together ever since. Their relationship and later marriage was so under the radar that much of the public didn't even know they had gotten married until months after. Since tying the knot, the couple have welcomed three children together: son Spike, born in September 2011, daughter Sunday Molly, born in 2014, and daughter Paulina Kathleen, born in 2015.
When the topic of his daughter Sunday's unique name came up during a visit on the The David Letterman Show back in April 2014, Mike said, "Me and my wife, Kelly, hate Sunday — I'm not even kidding — and we wanted to turn it around and make it a good thing."
Since 2010, Mike has resided with Kelly in New York with their three children. Although the two remain very private, with Mike returning to movies and television (there are rumors about a possible Austin Powers 4), we might just get little updates on their life as a couple here and there.
