This Clothing Storage Service Cares for Your Threads—and Then Delivers Them to You Worldwide

Nothing kills the glamour of travel quite like realizing your favorite coat isn’t ready for the journey, to say nothing of hauling a suitcase full of clothes that invariably need refreshing and de-creasing on arrival. Uovo Fashion’s wardrobe service eliminates both of those hassles and then some.

The aptly named storage company—uovo is the Italian word for egg, to reflect the delicacy with which it handles prized items—started as a fine-art-storage specialist but has since branched out to fashion and wine. It works with individuals and fashion houses alike, maintaining garments in climate-controlled, acid-free environments staffed by museum alums and other pros, many with master’s degrees in textile studies.

Perhaps its best feature is the MyCloset app, as slick as any luxury e-commerce platform: Once the on-site photo studio has meticulously cataloged your suits, shirts, shoes, and more, it lets you scroll through images, personalize them with tags for easy access, plus organize transport anywhere in the world.

Uovo has over 20 facilities nationwide, with three locations dedicated to fashion in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and West Palm Beach that also feature cold storage for furs. Any of them can dispatch small local deliveries in 24 hours. Large international shipments take about a week. When garments enter a facility, they’re inspected for any necessary cleaning or repairs, then—with your approval—laundered and mended. Translation: no unexpected moth holes or trying to find time to visit the cobbler.

But what if you need something in a pinch? “We had a client recently who was very anxious to get several items delivered to one of her residences,” says Uovo Fashion’s general manager, Brennan Lowery, who got the call on a Monday. “We were able to guarantee Friday, but the client instead suggested we deliver to her private plane, so that her pilot could get it there a day earlier.” Now that’s teamwork.
