This Company Is Hiring Someone to Craft All Day

From Good Housekeeping

The last 12 months have been extremely difficult and isolating, to say the least. If you're in need of some social interaction and/or enjoy knitting and crocheting, then listen up. LoveCrafts, a crafting community and online retailer, is hosting a livestream event to bring craft enthusiasts of all levels together for some fun projects.

The livestream, which can be viewed from LoveCrafts’ YouTube channel, will take place on April 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST. It is free and open to the general public. However, there's still one major detail LoveCrafts hasn't locked in yet: a host! That where's you come in. The online retailer is currently looking for a member of the public to lead the event.

This host will be expected to lead viewers through projects following tutorials from LoveCrafts’ inspiration pages (most of which will revolve around knitting and crocheting). The host does not have to be an expert crafter but should be someone who is confident talking to the camera and chatting to viewers. In particular, the host will be asked to create conversation with fellows crafters about the struggles they may have faced over the last 12 months and how they coped. The pay for the event is $420; however, the host is required to be active for all six hours.

As LoveCrafts notes, the aim of this livestream is to help combat loneliness as more than 35 million Americans are currently living their own. Interested in applying to host? You can learn more about the opportunity here and fill out the application here. As for the rest of us, tune into LoveCrafts’ YouTube channel on April 15th for the actual event.
