Coronation Street's Kevin and Cassie to keep a secret from Tyrone

Coronation Street's Cassie Plummer has been at the centre of drama after drama since she arrived on the cobbles — and next week will see even more coming her way.
We already know that next week will see Cassie upset when her son Tyrone Dobbs as well as Kevin and Abi Webster tell her to keep quiet during a business meeting with cab firm boss Ange (played by former Hollyoaks star Nicole Barber-Lane). She storms out on them, while Tyrone is later told his car was involved in a hit-and-run... and he's suspicious Cassie was involved.
Now it's been revealed what will happen in the aftermath of those scenes.

In upcoming episodes, Kevin finds Cassie drunk in the park and offers her the sofa at his since he feels like her going home in her current state is a bad idea.
The next day, a hungover Cassie tells Ty at work that she just stayed with a mate. Meanwhile, Kevin explains to Abi what happened and they agree it's best not to tell Tyrone.
Later on, Cassie thanks Kevin at the garage for not grassing him up, and he goes to put the kettle on as she looks at him fondly.
The implication here is that Cassie might be developing feelings for Kevin, potentially mistaking his kindness for him being interested in her too. How is Abi going to react? Not well, we imagine.

Elsewhere in Corrie world, Dame Maureen Lipman, who plays Cassie's mum Evelyn, recently won the Best Comic Performance prize at this year's Inside Soap Awards.
"I've had some great stuff to act this year on Coronation Street, some meaty stuff, and I'm very grateful that you think I'm good enough to win this prestigious award in a show I'm very proud of – so thank you," she said of the win.
