Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon welcomes baby boy and shares first photo

Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon has given birth to her first child.

The actress, who played Bethany Platt in the ITV soap between 2015 and 2020, and her boyfriend Ryan Ledson shared a photo to Instagram showing the couple cradling their newborn.

"Our beautiful boy," the caption reads. "30/01/2023."

The couple, who have been dating since the start of 2021, haven't announced the name yet, but she previously said that the name incorporates the tastes of both parents.

Lucy and Ryan also linked to OK! Magazine's Instagram account in their joint post, hinting that a longer interview with further details about the birth, including a potential announcement of the baby's name, could be on the way.

When Fallon first announced that she was expecting her child, she also opened up about the heartbreak of experiencing a miscarriage in March of last year.

"That changed things and it made us realise that was definitely what we wanted," she said.

"Situations like that can really test your relationship and when you go through something that's really horrible you see how the other person deals with stuff and how they support you and how you support them. It just made us closer and stronger...

"We're very fortunate that it happened again for us. We weren't putting pressure on it and I was trying not to put pressure on myself and then it just ended up happening that way for us. It was obviously just meant to happen."
