Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Stu Carpenter will resort to bribery ahead of a big Christmas storyline.
Fans of the soap will know that Stu's granddaughter Eliza Woodrow has been living with her father Dom Everett for the past couple of weeks.
Stu is set to receive some disappointing news in this week's episodes as he reaches out to Eliza and Dom in the hopes to salvage Christmas.
Following a chat with Roy Cropper, Stu attempts to invite Eliza and Dom to Christmas dinner with him and Yasmeen but Eliza tells him she already has plans.
After receiving the news, a disappointed Stu tells Yasmeen that they should keep Speed Daal open on Christmas day now that a family meal is off the cards.
In scenes which are set to air in the week commencing Monday, December 11 Stu is still struggling to accept Eliza's decision to live with her villainous dad Dom who he distrusts.
When Stu meets up with Private Investigator Lesley, it is revealed that Dom was convicted for dangerous driving in Germany back in 2020. But what will Stu do with this information?
Later in the week, Stu quizzes a shocked Dom about his life in Germany as the pair meet for a not-so-friendly lunch in the Bistro.
With the lunch over, Stu then offers Dom £10k in cash, which Dom had previously demanded from Stu, if he promises to stay out of Eliza's life and Dom tells his daughter she needs to go and stay with Stu for a few days.
Puzzled as to why she needs so much of her stuff when she is only going to stay with Stu for a few days, Dom calls at No.6 with Eliza and all of her possessions in tow and Dom and Stu exchange knowing looks.
Is this really the last we've seen of Dom?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
