A couple has taken their love of fast food to the next level with a chicken nugget themed engagement shoot.
While most couples opt to stand in a field and look lovingly into each other’s eyes, Stephanie Blais and Brett Macoretta decided they wanted something different.
The Hamilton, Ontario based couple hired photographer Katie Silva of Katie Marie Photography to capture not only their love for one another, but their love of chicken nuggets.
“That request was RIGHT up my alley,” Silva told the Daily Mail. “When a client asks to include nuggets in their shoot, one does NOT say no to that.”
It can be difficult for some people to take engagement photos seriously. They’re a little too saccharine with the smouldering gazes and all of the posed moments meant to look completely natural.
Instead of going the traditional route, Blais and her fiancé decided to come prepared for their engagement shoot with a bag full of Chicken McNuggets from McDonalds. Together with Silva, the pair travelled throughout the city mugging for the cameras in some hilarious poses.
“When Steph mentioned the nugget idea to me, I immediately had a vision come to mind. I wanted to give off the ‘new parent’ vibe to the shoot, only instead of welcoming a child, it was a nugget,” said Silva.
The nugget themed photoshoot was a departure for Silva who couldn’t contain her laughter behind the camera.
“I’m that photographer who will go to great extents and intentionally embarrass myself to get genuine laughs out of you. But with these guys — they had ME laughing the whole time,” the photographer recalls. “It was great. They are such a down to earth, cool couple.”
The couple are set to tie the knot later this year, and fully intend to showcase their love of chicken nuggets.
“Steph already told me they have a nugget bar in the works for the wedding. Not even kidding,” Silva said.
This is one love story that sounds absolutely delicious!
