'So inappropriate': Ontario Premier Ford's critics call out questionable action while getting COVID-19 vaccine
Last week, Ontario Premier Doug Ford received his first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at a local Etobicoke pharmacy.
As more vaccines are being administered in Canada, officials across the country are getting vaccinated in front of the media as a way to encourage everyone to get a COVID-19 vaccine, the first one that is available to them.
Ford ended his vaccine appointment saying how grateful he is for everyone working at pharmacies, administering COVID-19 vaccines.
Unfortunately for the premier, there was one moment at the pharmacy that received some unwanted attention from Ford critics when, after getting the shot, he jokingly fell slumped to one side when the vaccination was done.
Some on social media expressed that they thought it was "inappropriate" to do, particularly as COVID-19 infections deaths in the province continue to increase.
This is the class clown Doug Ford yukking it up for the media pretending to have died after getting the AZ shot today, so inappropriate since some ppl have died. Classeless bum!#VoteFordOut2022

Inappropriate to do this and distasteful as a Premier. Not one person in the party has the courage to stand up for Ontario. Not one. @OntarioPCParty Disgraceful.

I have vaccinated hundreds of patients- no one made a joke of this nature. All expressed immense gratitude and thanked the medical team for their time/talents/sacrifice @fordnation true colours - ongoing disappointment

There are people scared to take the vaccine and the person who is complaining that only reason we are behind in Ontario is either not enough from federal or people not signing up makes a joke about dying after injection. Just stop for 1 moment and think about that.

"Our government is moving quickly to get vaccines to where they will have the greatest impact," a statement from Doug Ford as he received his first vaccine on Friday reads.
"We have come so far, but we need to continue to stay the course. Over the next several weeks, please stay home unless you need essentials or you can't work from home, and continue following the public health guidelines. By working together we can keep everyone safe."
