Daisy Kent Reveals the Moment She Knew Joey Graziadei Wasn’t In Love With Her
Daisy Kent self-eliminated during last night’s season finale of The Bachelor—a truly unprecedented move that actually made a lot of sense (and was super mature!) considering she fully knew Joey was going to pick Kelsey Anderson over her.
Daisy dug into her decision during “After the Final Rose” and explained that there was one specific moment when she realized Joey was in love with Kelsey.
“I first realized when we were at the last rose ceremony when Rachel left, and there was a moment. It was me, you, and Kelsey together,” she recalled to Joey. “And I just saw you two look at each other and I was like, whoa. For the first time, I was like, ‘I don’t think it’s me.’ And I just remember that and then I was kinda trying to suppress my feelings and put it aside. And I was like, ‘You know, maybe I’m just in my head.’”
Daisy went on to explain that she was “anxious” during her and Joey’s final date: “There was a moment when we were throwing the stones in the fire and I was like, ‘Oh, he can’t, like...he can’t picture past this with me.’ And I think as gut-wrenching as that was in the moment, I was kind of like, you know, “I don’t think it’s me.’”
Daisy watched the finale when it aired and revealed, “It was honestly—it was really great for me to watch because it was kind of validating in fact that, like, I knew it and I saw it.”
ICYMI, Daisy ended up breaking things off with Joey before he could end their relationship and told him the following on the beach in the season finale: “The thing is, you’re not going to choose me. The last couple of days, I realized that, you know, you’re not my person and I know that you know I’m not. And as much as that hurts, I know you said you want the best for me, so I’m going to do what’s best for me and I’m going to go.”
