From Good Housekeeping

  • Dancing With the Stars Twitter has feelings about the recent season 29 pro-dancer lineup.

  • DWTS fans are delighted to see Sharna Burgess and Keo Motsepe return to the ABC show's cast.

  • Britt Stewart and Daniella Karagach are joining the show as new pros in the fall 2020 season. Britt is the show's first-ever Black female pro partner.

The ballroom is ready and the pro dancers are set for a brand new season of Dancing With the Stars this fall.

This week, Good Morning America dished on who will be gracing the dance floor when the ABC competition show returns Monday, September 14. Drum roll, please ... the cast of pro dancers competing for the Mirrorball Trophy for season 29 are:

  • Sharna Burgess

  • Peta Murgatroyd

  • Val Chmerkovskiy

  • Cheryl Burke

  • Keo Motsepe

  • Jenna Johnson

  • Britt Stewart (new pro and the show's first Black female pro)

  • Alan Bersten

  • Brandon Armstrong

  • Sasha Farber

  • Daniella Karagach (new pro)

  • Pasha Pashkov

  • Emma Slater

  • Gleb Savchenko

Yes folks, that's right — Sharna Burgess, who won the title alongside her celebrity partner Bobby Bones in 2018, is coming back to the show. The pro dancer shocked Dancing With the Stars viewers everywhere when she announced right before season 28 that she wouldn't be returning for the fall 2019 season. Along with Sharna, Keo Motsepe is also making his triumphant return to the series.

Reacting to the lineup of pro dancers, Dancing With the Stars fans seemed really excited about what's to come. "Omg @SharnaBurgess I am CRYING!!!," one viewer wrote. "Can we acknowledge that Britt is the 1st African American woman Pro!!! #abouttime," a different fan said. Another remarked, "I’m so happy #dwts is back."

That said, some did seem pretty upset over this summer's announcement that ABC parted ways with longtime co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. Instead, fans will welcome Tyra Banks as DWTS's brand new solo host and an executive producer.

It's a major change that many online seem torn about. "I am excited for the new season. I will miss @Tom_Bergeron and @ErinAndrews as hosts but I watch for the dancing not the hosting. I remember when Erin started- people were not happy. Everyone should give @tyrabanks a chance," one fan declared. Others, however, called it a "shame" that ABC let go of Tom and Erin and the move a "big mistake."

Regardless of #DWTS Twitter opinions, the show will go on. As for the pro dancers' celebrity partners, we'll have to wait just a bit longer to find out who they will be paired up with. That said, we do know that Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe is a definite season 29 cast member, per TVLine.com. Rumor has it that ABC has been in talks with Charlie Sheen, and Say Yes to the Dress star Randy Fenoli has expressed interest in the show. But apart from Kaitlyn, no one else has yet been confirmed.

Be on the lookout for more news about the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, though. We have a feeling we'll be learning more details about the cast veryyyy soon ...
