'Dancing With the Stars' Fans Show Support as Rumors Swirl That JoJo Siwa Split Up With Her GF
Week after week, JoJo Siwa has brought her A-game to Dancing With the Stars season 30. But outside of the ballroom, the 18-year-old YouTuber has hinted at going through a difficult time in her personal life. Luckily, she has the support of her pro partner Jenna Johnson and her fans.
In January, JoJo came out as a part of the LGBTQ+ community, identifying as pansexual, and shortly after in February, she revealed that she was dating her best friend, Kylie Prew. Then on October 15, JoJo opened up to People about going through a “new” situation that she’s “never gone through before.” It left her feeling like she was “missing a piece of [her] that is the biggest piece of [her].” It was a similar sentiment that the Dance Moms alum shared with Us Weekly and on Instagram a few days prior.
Now, following Monday night’s episode, in which JoJo and Jenna earned the first perfect score of the season, the former Dance Moms star got candid while speaking to Extra about what she’s experiencing in her private life. According to JoJo, only her family, a few close friends and Jenna know what’s going on behind the scenes. But she hopes to be able to tell the world about it in the near future.
“I will share my story and what’s going on right now eventually, I just don’t know how yet, because I care about everybody, and I just want to make other people feel good,” she told the outlet. “I have to do what’s right for me but I also have to do what’s right for everybody. I need to take time and I need to live life and be on Dancing with the Stars … I think eventually through dance I want to share my story and we’ll get there.”
Reacting to JoJo’s cryptic words, her fans began asking if she and Kylie had broken up. The couple hasn’t confirmed or denied this rumor but after Grease Night on Dancing With the Stars, outlets are now reporting that JoJo and Kylie have, in fact, split up. Still, it’s all hearsay, and in the meantime JoJo’s fans are reaching out to her on social media to let her know that they’re there for her.
“But in all seriousness are you okay? This was a much deeper post ❤️❤️,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Your fans are here to support you through thick and thin!!! Keep doing whatever makes you happiest!! ❣️,” a different fan said. “Being 18 in front of the whole world as such an open book must be insanely difficult. No matter what is going on, I hope the masses can be respectful. Jojo is cool, and I loved her Grease dance,” a follower commented on YouTube.
On Instagram, JoJo showed her appreciation for her fans and Jenna after receiving a perfect score on Monday for their Foxtrot performance. "I’m SO so so appreciative for @jennajohnson for not only being the best mentor/pro for the last 7 weeks, but also being the best friend. I’ve been through thick and thicker in the last few weeks and she’s been there for me every second that I need her to be!!" JoJo wrote.
The Youtuber continued: "This show would not be the same with anyone else! Tonight we shared the story of OUR friendship that we’ve gained over the last few weeks and I couldn’t be happier. This dance and this moment is something that I will cherish forever and EVER!!!!!!!😭 I cried in the beginning, middle, and end of this performance. And I’m crying again now!"
