Daredevil: Born Again spoilers follow.

Daredevil star Charlie Cox has expressed hopes of Deborah Ann Woll returning for the Disney+ series.

Filming has begun on the 18-part season, as Cox returns as The Man Without Fear alongside Vincent D'Onofrio (Kingpin) and Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) from the Netflix series.

Thus far, it doesn't look like Deborah Ann Woll or Elden Henson will be reprising their roles from the Netflix series as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, in spite of Karen being hugely important to the Marvel Comics storyline of the same name.

Cox was asked about the characters' absence during an appearance at GalaxyCon and expressed hopes that Karen will somehow factor into the show.

"I would like for Matt to continue exploring because there's a lot of fun stories to tell still," he said.

"If you're a true Daredevil [fan], maybe I'm wrong, I feel like there's probably no escaping that there's only one Karen Page."

Late last year, Deborah Ann Woll explained to Inside of You podcast that she had yet to hear anything from Marvel or Disney about Born Again.

"I would be thrilled to get to be a part of it – they know where I am," she said. "Like I said, I love the character and I love telling that story. I feel like I have more to say. But it is up to them what kind of story that they want to tell."

Producers have already recast one major role, as Better Call Saul's Sandrine Holt will take over as Wilson Fisk's wife Vanessa from Netflix cast member Ayelet Zurer.

Daredevil seasons 1-3 are streaming on Disney+. Daredevil: Born Again is due to premiere in 2024.
