A daycare employee has been fired after body-shaming a 5-year-old boy.

On Nov. 12, Francesca Easdon sent her son Kyler to school with a sweet note inside of his lunch bag that read, “Please tell Kyler that his mommy loves him so much and that I’m thinking about him.”

The Kingwood, Texas, mom said the family has been working with her “extremely picky” son to make healthier choices — and had discussed their nutrition goals with Kyler’s school, hoping they would be supportive.

Much to her dismay, when Kyler returned home from school, she found a response from one of the daycare’s teachers written in black marker.

“No!” the note began. “Put him on a diet and go away!”

After confronting the school, Easdon took to Facebook to urge parents to be extra cautious when choosing where to send their children for daycare.

“Instead of the school being supportive I am in absolute shock at what happened,” she wrote.

A “livid” Easdon contacted the school and arranged for a meeting, bringing her mother-in-law for support.

“I was assured it was being investigated and handled, yet almost no remorse was shown,” Easdon said. “I also brought to their attention the fact that on his teacher’s public Facebook page there were mass posts regarding drug use and other very inappropriate content.”

According to Easdon, the teacher confessed and was fired, but the school still showed “zero remorse” for their actions.

“I am disgusted that I put my trust in these people to care for my child and this is what I get in return,” she continued. “I have removed Kyler from this daycare (Rocking Horse Kingwood) and am enrolling him in a beautiful new facility. I’m worried about the higher cost but I will make it work, no matter what I have to do. Kyler’s safety comes first...I’m extremely hands on with my child’s care and still didn’t see this coming.’”

Easdon encouraged all parents to pay close attention to the daycare programs their children attend advised that they stay away from Rocking Horse Kingwood, writing, “They do not deserve the privilege of teaching our children.”

In an interview with FOX39, Easdon said she feels as though there’s “something wrong” with the teacher who shamed her son.

“The thing that upset me the most is [that] this is bullying,” she told reporters. “To know a grown-up, who knows how hard life is and how mean people can be, can say something like that, especially about a child, is - they’re sick.”
