Demi Lovato's Manicure Spells Out An Important Political Message

With just three weeks until the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, celebrities, politicians, retailers, brands, apps, your co-workers, and your mom, have probably all reminded you to make sure you're registered to vote. Or they've reminded you to request an absentee ballot, vote early, or make plans to head to the polls to vote on Nov. 3.

But if the message still isn't clear, let Demi Lovato's latest manicure spell it out for you:

The singer showed off her politically-themed nail art on her Instagram Story over the weekend, reminding her fans to go out and vote, whether it's in person or via mail. On top of literally spelling out "vote" and "now" on her two hands, Lovato's nail artist Natalie Minerva painted stars on both of Lovato's thumbs and an envelope seal with a heart on her left index finger.

She also gave the singer royal blue French tips, a nod Democratic candidate Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris. But this isn't the first time Lovato has shown her support for the party. In 2016, she performed "Confident" and spoke about mental health at that year's Democratic Convention.

Are long nails unhygienic? Here's what you need to know.

While we love Lovato's art, she (thankfully) isn't the only one who's using her nails as a medium to encourage U.S. citizens to practice their civic duty next month. Some of the biggest celebrity manicurists are getting political with their nail art, too.

Selena Gomez's glossy red almond-shaped nails by manicurist Tom Bachik look even more gorgeous when holding up a "vote" face mask.

Before Mei Kawajiri foreshadowed the Mike Pence fly incident at the Vice Presidential debate with her own insect nail art, she created this vote-inspired manicure for hairstylist Kahh Spence.

Nail artist Taryn Granados looked to the American flag as inspiration when creating her presidential election-inspired manicure.

When celebrity manicurist Gina Edwards isn't doing Tracee Ellis Ross, Laura Harrier, or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's nails, she's using her nail art talent to encourage people to vote.

The internet's favorite nail artist, Betina Goldstein, is reminding people to get out and vote with this minimalist, glittery manicure.
