These incredible slogan gowns are the talk of Haute Couture Fashion Week
Viktor and Rolf sent a series of slogan gowns down the catwalk during Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, which have proved to be social media gold.
The Dutch designer is celebrated in fashion circles for its art-inspired designs.
However, this collection had a more mass appeal thanks to its use of fun slogans commonly associated for high street brands – including Melania Trump’s infamous “I don’t care” Zara jacket.
Tongue-in-cheek messages ranged from “Sorry I’m late I didn’t want to come” to simply “F* this I’m going to Paris”.
The looks went down a treat with Twitter users, with one person claiming they “just [couldn’t] get enough” of the designs and wanted to be “buried” in them.

Others liked the emotive nature of the slogans, saying the brand “read [their] thoughts.”

One person poked fun at an extravagant ruffled tulle gown which bore the slogan: “Less is more.”
Define “less….” 👀👗

But not everyone appreciated the lighthearted nature of the high fashion looks, with some calling it “corny” or comparing it to budget high street retailers.

you know when you see a cute shirt on a rack in the store and then you pull it out and it has a weird cringey slogan on it ? well that’s basically what Viktor&Rolf Couture ss 2019 was… pic.twitter.com/ytMjKGPFVq

This isn’t the first time outlandish high-fashion designs have gone viral on social media.
Back in November, Calvin Klein’s “inside out” jumpers – inspired by ‘Looney Tunes’ – proved divisive on Instagram, with comparisons to “month-old roadkill”.
