The best things to watch on TV tonight, Monday 8 November, 2021
Dexter: New Blood - Sky Atlantic - 10pm
Serial killer dark comedy Dexter returns for a new series set 10 years on from the events of the 2013 finale.
Michael C. Hall returns as the forensics expert turned serial killer, and having faked his own death the last time we saw him, Dexter is now living in a quiet town under a new name.
But when bodies begin to turn up in the sleepy backwater, it looks as though Dexter will have to return to his old life of taking down murderers in a bloodthirsty way.
MasterChef: The Professionals - BBC One - 7.35pm and 8.30pm
The nation's best pro chefs compete for the title of MasterChef: The Professionals 2021 beginning with two episodes tonight.
In the first heat, contestants take on the classic bangers and mash with beer and onion gravy, but it's trickier than they think as they work towards showing judges Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace their own creations in the next challenge.
Succession - Sky Atlantic - 9pm
The Roy family dramas continue, reaching fever pitch on a private island as the siblings and their father go head to head.
Adrien Brody joins the cast for tonight's episode as an activist investor who wants to check out how genuine Kendall's bid to clean up the company is.
The Tower - ITV - 9pm
Gemma Whelan stars in the new London-set crime thriller adapted from former Met detective Kate London's Post Mortem novel.
A police officer and a young woman fall to their deaths from a tower block, leaving another officer and a five-year-old child on the roof as survivors.
When the surviving officer goes missing, the investigation delves into what happened on the roof and why two of the four lived.
Rape: Who's On Trial? - Channel 4 - 9pm
Conviction numbers for reported rapes are shockingly low, and this documentary filmed over two years by an all-female team follows Avon and Somerset Constabulary as they pursue four rape cases.
It's a sobering look at the difficulties of securing a successful conviction and is followed by a studio debate in front of a female audience about the issues raised.
