Look up 'whirlwind romance' in the dictionary, and Miley Cyrus's dating history will probably come up. Since announcing her split from Liam Hemsworth at the beginning of September, the star went public with girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, being spotted in matching outfits and kissing during a holiday to Lake Como.

But it wasn't to be, with the pair going their separate ways less than a month later, with a source citing Miley 'not wanting a relationship', as the reason behind the split.

Fast forward a week or so, though, and it seems Miley has changed her mind, after she was spotted kissing Cody Simpson - who was once Gigi Hadid's boyfriend - in a breakfast place in LA. The pair then went on to make things Instagram official themselves, with Miley even calling Cody her "boyfriend" on Instagram Stories.

While we can't even imagine what Liam Hemsworth thinks, it would appear Kaitlynn is making her feelings quite clear, sharing a quote about 'what love should be' on Instagram Stories. And yeah, it sounds like it might be a little shady to Miley.

"Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing, and forgiving,” the quote said. “It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses."

Quiet understanding? Not sure that's Miley's way.

This comes as Kaitlynn's BFF Becca Tilley addressed Miley and Cody's relationship on her podcast Scrubbing In, commenting, "I’m friends with Kaitlynn, so... I think when you’re in a relationship or, like, seen with anyone, like, out of respect to that person, it’s maybe, like...."

“Obviously, Miley shouldn’t have to date in her home," Becca continued. "But it’s like, you know there’s photos everywhere, you know?"
