Divorcée Turned Wedding Ring into Sweet Gift
While divorce is often associated with heartbreak and disappointment, this mother wanted to show her daughter that her marriage was in fact not a complete failure and found an incredibly creative way to do that.
Karen Beardsley of Erie, Pennsylvania recently gave her daughter, Devin Petit, 20, a special gift for her upcoming 21st birthday: a necklace made from her old wedding ring.
Devin loved the gift so much, she took to Twitter to share the thoughtful idea. "My mom gave me this necklace this morning as an early birthday gift. It's made from the diamonds of her wedding band," Devin wrote on Twitter. "She said although her marriage to my dad didn’t work out, they both agreed I was the best thing to come from it, which is why she wanted me to have it."
