DJ and wellness guru Hannah Bronfman shares her favorite, low-calorie cocktails

Hannah Bronfman -- the DJ, founder of lifestyle website HBFit, model and Instagram star (with nearly 400,000 followers!) -- is the true definition of living to your fullest potential.

Perusing through Hannah's Instagram, you can instantly tell that working out -- whether it's pilates or a dance class at Body By Simone -- is a huge part of her life. But it's all about balance for Hannah, who truly is all about that "work hard, play hard" mindset.

So it was only right that Hannah mixed work with play by hosting a Don Julio cocktail party after getting our butts kicked for an hour at a world-famous Barry's Bootcamp class. If you're not familiar with Barry's Bootcamp, the class consists of running on the treadmill and lifting weights. Chances are you won't be able to walk the next day.

The brunette beauty sat down with AOL Lifestyle to talk about her fitness regime and her partnership with tequila brand Don Julio.

So I heard that even before this partnership you were a huge Don Julio fan! Is that true?

I've always been a tequila girl. Don Julio is low in calories, gluten-free and doesn't give me a hangover. I'm a huge fan!

What's your go-to drink at the bar?

Don Julio Blanco on the rocks with half of a lime.

Whenever you have a dinner party, what's an easy-to-make cocktail that everyone will love?

I love to make a pitcher of Don Julio Blanco with San Pellegrino, grapefruit and ice. Or even Don Julio Blanco with fresh lime juice and basil or mint, then top of each glass with a splash of soda.

With winter approaching, how do you stay motivated to work out?

Summer bodies are made in the winter, baby! Honestly, I like being social when working out so I make plans with friends. By doing that it makes you accountable.

When Hannah isn't traveling the world and ruling at life, she probably has a few minutes to spare to make one of her favorite cocktails. Here's the recipe:


1 1/2 oz Tequila Don Julio Blanco
2 oz Fresh Red pepper Juice
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 tsp Jalapeño Juice (or to taste)

1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail with ice.
2. Shake well and pour over ice in a mason jar.
3. Garnish with a jalapeño slice.
