Donnie Wahlberg Learned an Important Life Lesson From His Early Years in NKOTB
Donnie Wahlberg has used his time in quarantine to get creative on social media.
So far, the 50-year-old actor has posted a series of TikToks with his wife, Jenny McCarthy.
Last week, the Blue Bloods star shared an old post (from his New Kids on the Block days) and offered fans some important life advice.
Donnie Wahlberg: We listen to his NKOTB music, watch him on Blue Bloods, and forever keep an eye out for the next best thing he’s going to post to his social media feeds. Where lately that’s meant a hilarious Tiger King recreation with his wife Jenny McCarthy, not to mention well-choreographed TikToks and gratitude posts for his sweetheart, on Thursday, April 17, he changed gears for a heartfelt throwback post.
In the clip, a young Donnie recounts, “A guy asked me today ‘Donnie, we’ve got some of your fans out front, um, they say they don’t like you as much as last year.’” Instead of getting worked up, he waited a second and cooly responded: “I mean, I didn’t like my toys as much when I was six as I liked them when I was five. That’s life!”

Donnie captioned the post, “#tbt — circa ‘91! I swear, sometimes it’s tough looking back at old stuff, though I carry no regrets (only reminders and lessons learned), but sometimes I stumble upon something like this and say ‘ya know, that Wahlberg kid kind of knew a few things.’ ha ha!” He followed it up with “Never took the bait” and a series of emojis.
His fans immediately praised the post, with one commenter writing, “Forever my biggest inspiration love you Ddub,” followed by hearts, and another commenting, “We don’t like you the same from last year. We LOVE YOU more and more and more each day,” again accompanied by a bevy of hearts.
Here’s to hoping this is the first of many throwback posts from one of our favorite New Kids on the Block band members.
