A section of Chunxiang Road in Luzhou, southern China, experienced a road collapse, resulting in a sinkhole. The video shows a cargo truck driving along the road and falling into the deep pit, causing the vehicle to overturn. Measurements indicate that the collapsed area spans approximately 30 square metres with a depth of about 4 metres. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties at the scene. Currently, the site has been secured and cordoned off, and rescue vehicles have arrived to assist in the operation. Authorities are also conducting a secondary disaster investigation in the surrounding area. The cause of the incident is still under further investigation. The video was filmed on May 24 and provided with local media’s permission.
