The Dramatic and Shocking 'Sexy Beast' Couple Updates All Fans Desperately Need
Season 1 of Sexy Beasts has been officially released on Netflix, and now fans really want to know if you can actually fall in love with a person dressed as a dolphin, mandrill or beaver.
It's the big question that emerges with each episode of this new and totally bizarre dating show. Over the course of six episodes, viewers are introduced to 18 different singles dressed in animal prosthetics. All came onto the show with the hopes of finding their perfect match and proving that love is, indeed, blind.
But were they successful in finding love? As you'll soon discover if you keep on reading this article, most Sexy Beasts couples didn't end up on Cupid's good side after the cameras stopped rolling, unfortunately. While there may be hope for a few of the pairs that sailed off into the sunset together, most seemed to have called it quits since filming the series back in the fall of 2020. Here's the juicy scoop on each couple:
Rhino and Dolphin (Mick and Nina)

This Sexy Beasts couple seemed to hit if off right away, especially after they took a magical carriage ride in town together and shared a passionate smooch in front of the cameras. But did their fantasy last? Decider did some sleuthing and discovered that not only do the two follow each other on Instagram and live somewhat nearby, but Nina "likes" a lot of Mick's posts. That said, it doesn't appear that Mick reciprocates in the "likes" department. All in all, we can't say for sure, but with Nina based in Coronado, California and Mick in Los Angeles (about two hours away from each other by car), anything is possible. Fans should probably keep a close eye on this couple in case anything serious develops — after all, they did really seem to like each other on the show.
Rooster and Reindeer (Kelechi and Martha)

As both Kelechi and Martha devastatingly pointed out on Sexy Beasts, they both have an ocean that separates them (Kelechi is in the U.S.; Martha is in the U.K.). But even still, they do still follow each other on Instagram and like each other's posts from time to time, per Looper. While there aren't any photos of the two together since the series hit Netflix, they do appear to be on good terms. Could this be enough for a long-distance relationship some day? Perhaps. We're not giving up hope on these two just yet.
Alien and Panda (Tyler and Kariselle)

Kariselle was all about Tyler's dad jokes in front of the cameras ... but did things work out once Kariselle went back to New Jersey and Tyler returned to his life in L.A.? Well, as Kariselle herself informed us this week on Instagram, she and Tyler "tried their best" for things to work, but the distance and the pandemic made things difficult in the end. Of course, in true Kariselle fashion, she shocked everyone when she teased in the same post that she and Tyler were engaged (she was just joking around, though).
"The important thing is, we’ve stayed in touch constantly since filming and speak almost daily, and continue to be extremely close," she captioned alongside a photo of her and Tyler together. "Tyler, If I had to do it all over again, I’d pick you every time. I love you my sexy beast and I’m always going to be your biggest fan."
Well, shucks ... at least they ended things on a positive note!
Mandrill and Devil (Bennett and Emma)

If we had to guess based on their social media behavior alone, we'd say that sadly Bennett and Emma didn't make it. Not only do they not follow or post pictures of each other on Instagram, but Bennett shared a cryptic post that possibly hinted at some drama behind the scenes.
"There is SO MUCH that you don’t know about what happened after the cameras cut off," he shared in a recent post. "I’m not really sure what I can and can’t say and I’m still trying to be patient in gathering my thoughts and feelings before I post anything else because there is so much to say..."
Emma also posted about her Sexy Beast experience, but sounded much more upbeat: "so thankful for this incredible experience! thank you to the wonderful @netflix team, to my super talented makeup artists @marina_altomare @malwina_suwinska for transforming me into #EmmatheDemon 😈," she wrote in part. She did not mention Bennett in the post.
Beaver and Leopard (James and Alexis)

Again, we're going to take an educated guess here based on what we're seeing on Instagram and say these two are not together. The biggest giveaway? Alexis appears to be in a relationship with another person and neither party posts about the other. That's all we've got at the moment. Sigh.
Wolf and Owl (Ibrahim and Gabi)

Much like other Sexy Beast couples, Owl and Wolf (er, Gabi and Ibrahim) appear to have gone their separate ways. While we don't have an Instagram handle for Ibrahim to analyze, we did see that Gabi posted a bunch of screenshots from her time on the show recently. Interestingly in the comments section, a person named Michael Mackonochie commented on the post and declared, "I'm one lucky guy 😍." Gabi then wrote back to this fella, "💜." We're going to go out on a limb here and say that's a pretty clear indication that she's moved on. No points for love here!
