The Duchess of Cambridge made a fashionable return from maternity leave this afternoon with a trip to Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in Paddington.

For her first royal engagement since welcoming Prince Louis on April 23rd, Kate dressed appropriately for the great outdoors. Proving she’s a fan of the high street, the Duchess recycled her go-to biker jeans by Zara and couldn’t resist her trusty £475 Penelope Chilvers tassel boots.

Sadly, the jeans have long sold out after the royal was first photographed in the cult garment back in 2016 for a trip to Kaziranga National Park in India.

Her boots on the other hand are a permanent fixture in the Duchess’ Kensington Palace covetable wardrobe. The Duchess of Cambridge was first spotted in them back in June 2004 for the Festival of British Eventing and has since worn them on countless engagements.

The 36-year-old finished the autumn-ready look with a £175 khaki-hued jacket by Fjällrävennd and a co-ordinating knit – a £395 leaf-emblazoned Joseph blouse peeping beneath. The Duchess wore her favourite £135 Monica Vinader earrings to add a pop of colour.

According to royal correspondent Rebecca English, “Kate is sporting a shorter, straighter, slightly more tousled hairstyle today.”

It’s also interesting to note that the Duchess appears to be sporting a post-holiday glow with rumours circulating that she enjoyed a recent getaway with husband Prince William and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The London-based charity project is designed to enable inner city children with a physical, social or financial disadvantage to take part in outdoor learning exercises.

The Duchess will join the school pupils in a range of activities to learn more about how the programme is helping the school pupils’ emotional and physical wellbeing.
