Dancing With the Stars has had quite a few changes this season, from a new judging rule to some behind-the-scenes creative changes, and now the show's production team is throwing one more change into the mix by eliminated the "Most Memorable Year" week.

Longtime fans of the show have been eagerly awaiting the "Most Memorable Year" week of the show, where contestants perform a dance inspired by the most memorable year of their life. Sadly, that week won't be coming. The show confirmed the news on its Instagram after a fan commented on a post asking when the fan-favorite week would be airing.

“We’re not doing one week dedicated to their stories this season, but we’ve been sharing a few each week throughout the season,” the show wrote.

The show has, in fact, been giving the fans insights into each contestants life throughout the weeks. Bachelorette Hannah Brown opened up about her hometown and struggling with homesickness, and Karamo Brown shared the emotional story of how he came to have his two sons.

Despite these stories being sprinkled throughout the show, fans are still not happy about the production team's decision. “They aren’t doing MMY this year, which is a simply idiotic decision by production, since it’s a lot of people’s favorite week,” one fan commented on Instagram. Another simply wrote “Boo 👎."

Others seemed confused about the show's decision to cut the themed week when it has historically been a favorite amongst fans. “That week was a fan favorite, you literally cut out all the good parts this season smh," one fan wrote.

The show is entering its ninth week, which will be themed "Boy Bands and Girl Groups." To go with the theme, fans and contestants will be treated to two guest judges: Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls and Joey Fatone of N'SYNC.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
